VARK Questionnaire

VARK questionnaire results:

Your scores were:
  • Visual: 4
  • Aural: 3
  • Read/Write: 7
  • Kinesthetic: 2

From the VARK questionnaire I took it has shown that I have a preferred learning style for reading/writing with a score of 7, I do up to a point agree with this score as I prefer to have a clear set of written instruction that allow me to read and go over them as many times as necessary in order to fully grasp the task that has been given to me.

Visual was my second highest score this dose not surprise me as I do find a visual demonstration of tasks very helpful, and in certain situations I will say this is my preferred learning style over reading/writing for example when looking at a piece of computer code, it is much easier to physically see and how it works rather than read about it.

I scored a 3 in aural, I often find this is helpful as someone telling you how to go about a task once again such as writing a piece of computer code is sometime's invaluable,

My lowest score was for kinaesthetic, this I agree with as I often find myself become easily distracted if I start to move about during lectures, although sometimes if the lecture is particularly long it can be good to move about to a new scenery (such as going to a new classroom) which can help refocus me.

Overall I agree with the VARK results, visual and aural are very close to each other which doesn't surprise me as I find both work together well such as when been shown and told how to carry out a task.
